Where It All Started
2015. A handful of students. One shared frustration: lectures taught theory, but nobody was building anything real.
So they started meeting. Coding together. Learning from each other. Teaching what they knew. Building projects that actually solved problems on campus.
Word spread. 10 became 50. 50 became 200. Today, we're 4000+ strong—the largest, most active tech community Babcock has ever seen.
But size isn't the point. Impact is.
BUCC exists because every student with a laptop and a dream deserves a community that pushes them to build it. Because Nigeria's tech future shouldn't be built in Lagos and Silicon Valley alone—it should be built here, on our campus, by us.
We're not waiting for permission. We're not waiting for the "right time."
